Protect Your Project
Architectural woodwork will be manufactured and/or installed to the current AWMAC’s STANDARDS in effect at time of tender and will be subject to an inspection at the Manufacturer’s facility and/or site by an appointed AWMAC Certified Inspector. Inspection costs shall be included in the tender price for this project. Contact your regional AWMAC Chapter for details of inspection costs.
Shop drawings will be submitted to the AWMAC Chapter office for review before work commences. Work that does not meet the current AWMAC’s STANDARDS, as specified, will be replaced, reworked and/or refinished by the architectural woodwork contractor, to the approval of AWMAC, at no additional cost to the owner.
If the architectural woodwork contractor is an AWMAC Manufacturer Member in good standing, a two-year AWMAC Guarantee Certificate will be issued. The AWMAC Guarantee will cover replacing, reworking and/or refinishing defective architectural woodwork due to faulty workmanship or defective materials supplied and/or installed by the architectural woodwork contractor, which may appear during the two-year period following the date of issuance.
If the architectural woodwork contractor is not an AWMAC Manufacturer Member, they shall provide the owner with a two-year maintenance bond in lieu of the AWMAC Guarantee Certificate, to the full value of the architectural woodwork contract.
With every project you take on, you want to avoid pitfalls like risk exposure and frustrated clients. AWMAC’s GIS ensures a path to success… delivering quality architectural woodwork to a satisfied client. AWMAC’s GIS is a national program that has evolved over the past 18 years and guarantees architectural woodwork meets or exceeds AWMAC’s STANDARDS. An AWMAC inspection isn’t just a stamp of approval. Think of it as the ultimate way to achieve peace of mind with those who matter most: your customers.Read the Brochure Contact us
