Learn About GISThe North American Architectural Woodwork Standards (NAAWS) manual is a comprehensive set of standards that defines the requirements of material and workmanship for the fabrication and installation of architectural woodwork. In addition, NAAWS: - empowers design professionals to specify elements of architectural woodwork which meet their client’s needs, - provides measures to ensure that manufacturers and installers bidding on a project compete equally and must perform equal quality work, and - offers industry information, terminology, and criteria for manufacturing and installing to industry standards.
The NAAWS is jointly developed, maintained and published by AWMAC and the Woodwork Institute and is designed for architects, specification writers, contractors, fabricators, installers and millwork firms across North America and beyond. NAAWS is available as a free, interactive PDF in English, French, and Spanish. Hard copies are available through AWMAC’s website at a nominal price. Visit www.naaws.com for more information.
